Apr 20, 2020 Hey Guy's, i purchased a Schmidt Rubin 1889 7.5x54.5 swiss a few days ago. Serial number is 206XXX so it dates 1896. I need Help for reloading. I only have 50 rounds of original 7.5X54.5 that came with the gun and are not reloadable because they are berdan primed. It's possible but to much trouble lol i will use 243 winchester brass trimmed to 54.5mm. Almost positive it is a Schmidt Rubin 1911. Stock, rear sight, not at all like an 1889. Thought maybe it was an 1896/11 but it does not have the cutouts in the mag well of the 1896/11. Anyone have a field headspace gauge in 7.5x55 for a Schmidt Rubin 1911?

Schmidt Rubin 1889 great condition with matching numbers. Soldiers service numbers engraved on stock. Functions and shoots flawlessly. Beautiful and getting very sought after. Pre-1900 so no PTA or registration required. Can be delivered straight to your door. Grab a piece of history that's becoming scarce. This is the nicest example I've ever seen the timber is lustrous and nearly ding free and the bluing is still deep without faults. Pretty rare amongst these rifles.
